About Melinda

Melinda is a seasoned education professional with over two decades of experience driving instructional excellence and developing leaders. Her career spans roles as a high school English teacher, Director of Literacy, leadership coach, and consultant.

Over the past decade, she has directly impacted and supported hundreds of professionals through one-on-one and group coaching sessions targeting personal and professional development. Melinda has also designed and delivered customized coaching training for leaders who wish to grow their own leadership skills. This work has continually refined her personalized, high-impact approach to leadership development.

Her writing, which advocates for effective instructional practices and the power of coaching, has been featured in prominent publications like Educational Leadership and California English.

Melinda founded CoachED to provide personalized leadership coaching and training based on her conviction in the transformative power of coaching holds for today's leaders.

She holds a Leadership and Performance Certified Coaching certificate from ACT Leadership through Brown University and is an active member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF). She currently shares her expertise by supervising secondary teacher candidates at the University of California, Irvine.
